What state do you live in? In southern US there are tons of unwanted beagles in shelters!
If you go to a reputable breeder expect to pay a reasonable price.

Depending on the type. If you want papers and all that it is pricey. Try going to a shelter and getting one. There are many unwanted animals there that need a good home. And if you get an older one there. Chances are they will be up to date on all shots and already be house trained. That is always a plus. Good Luck and Blessings.
hopefully you'll go to a shelter to save one...but do some research first. Beagles need to be outside a LOT. They are part of the Hound family so they will take off and run away in a heart beat if they smell something that they want to track. Also, they like to dig and try to escape even the biggest, nicest backyard,,and if you make the same mistake I have,,they will dig on your carpet until you have small holes all over! they can be very expensive to maintain but they are great dogs and in my opinion they are worth it.
